The Grayson County Center for Women’s Ministries officially opened on September 23, 2013. As with our parent organization, The International Center for Women’s Ministries, the mission of the GCCWM is to provide a place that women can come to for healing the emotions and the spirit. There is no secret formula, but there is the unconditional love of many caring volunteers: women helping women find a better way of life through individual peer counseling, support groups and Bible studies, all free of charge. It is the first center of its kind in Kentucky.
Bringing this ministry to Grayson County has been nearly two years in the making, beginning when members of several local churches began praying for ways the Lord would bring hope and healing to the families of our community. Through a journey of prayer, informational meetings, training sessions, obtaining and preparing a facility, plus many volunteer hours, we have come to the day of its opening. We are excited to see what the Lord will do in our community through this new ministry.
